Hey, Listen Up!

What a week! I have been so busy finally getting back to work after my injury and my best friend arrived in Tokyo to work here too! I am so so lucky to have her here. We were fortunate enough to work together in Hong Kong, now again in Tokyo! I think we were just meant to be best friends. Haha, anyway, back to fashion! So I, like everyone else I'm sure, am in love with the denim top craze happening right now. I had to refrain myself from buying too many! This amazing jacket I picked up from a second hand store, here in Tokyo. It's so beautifully made with silk lining and it's the perfect tailoring to fit me. 

I am also obsessed with the 'cropped' style of shirts, though for this look I just tied the denim top to get the same effect. Eeep, I really love the crop, BUT it has me actually doing some sit-ups to make sure I can pull it off!

Well I guess its a good way to slowly get me ready for summer!

Hello Spring! I'm so excited it's the best season of the year! Time to cut up my tights and turn them into over the knee stockings. I had so much fun creating this look... I grabbed about 4 pairs of tights and went crazy with the scissors! I tried the shoot with yellow, blue, purple and grey tights, but in the end I decided purple was my color of choice. Just such a bright and fun color for this season. Yep... you guessed it I was very inspired by the Prada Spring campaign. The cute pony tails had me reaching for my tail comb and elastic hairbands. As for my amazing new shorts... I picked them up in a used clothing store for 1 dollar! I couldn't believe it when I grabbed them! The color is perfect for this season (I'm thinking, Celine Ready-to-Wear Spring collection) and the leather fringing is so unique. I had such a great time pulling this together, I hope you love it too!

She's Expensive

So while scary tsunami warnings are blazing here in Japan... the only way I can think to distract myself is by creating a new post. Its absolutely horrible to hear about the earthquake in Chile, and my thoughts go out to the victims and the survivors who have lost loved ones. It crazy to think that the earthquake all the way over in Chile may actually cause a tsunami here! 

On a Different note... I need to thank my awesome sister Amanda for giving my some creative advice for this look. I was channeling a bolder, darker and sexier woman (someone I don't really see myself as! haha) while putting this together. It was just exciting to go crazy with the eyeliner and choose some extremely tight pants!

Finally I want to point out my awesome, wonderful, amazing vintage M. Valentino clutch! BAHHHH I love love love it!

I was lucky enough to find it here in Tokyo! Ahh my love.

I am dying for gigantic bow! Love love love the big blue one! Arghhh but every time I go in store to the amazing wonderland of a store... they never have any available! Boooo. But I think Im inspired to do a little D.I.Y. Im off work sick for 9 more days... so Im guessing this is the perfect time to try! I will keep you posted if I actually succeed! These adorable pics are from the WeGo spring catalogue I picked up the other day. Ahaha I LOVE the cute Japanese style. Im feeling rather inspired. I feel another outfit post coming on...

Little Huricane

Its been a few weeks since I last put a look together! Sorry! Well the truth is... I have a fractured tail bone... and well that has just been taking up all my time with doctors appointments and all the rest. Surprisingly I didn't injure myself dancing, I was um riding my bike. Eeek. Almost embarrassing, but not quite as it wasn't my fault! I swear! Hehe. Anyway... 

This outfit was so fun to create! Its a little different to what I would normaly wear out and about, but I love it! I have been searching for vintage denim shorts for sooo long and I finally found a pair a few weeks ago at Mellow, a used clothing store here in Tokyo. I just cut them up myself (I was very nervous) but I think they turned out OK!!! I hope you like it!

Blueberry Night

Finally we had some snow here in Tokyo during the week... and of course I ran outside at midnight to make snow angels... but Im busting for spring to arrive already! I just can't wait to show off my new boots and polka-dotted skirt both from a used clothing store called We-Go. This store is amazing! Filled with  denim, dresses, shoes, belts and hair accessories all either brand new, vintage or barely used. Pretty sure its my new obsession!

Cat Fight

Indie rock group the Gossip are performing here in Tokyo in just over a week and Im so freaken excited! Of course Beth Ditto, the leading lady, wows crowds with outrageous outfits...  I however my be taking a little more classic approach. I have been planning my concert outfit for weeks... and this look is in my top choices. Its a vintage dress labled Mervellieuse, paired with my Topshop boots and a home made ring. I was so excited when I found this dress, I mean bows on the shoulder... it could easily fit in with the S/S 2010 Dior collection. I toped it all off with some green ribbon for a belt and this seasons bold eye colors in orange, pink and blue.

So... what are your thoughts?

Karoke!

Oh what a night! Chu-hi, tunes and good friends. Karoke is HUGE here in Japan and it's one of the greatest ways to end a night out. Open basically 24 hours, this particular karaoke bar is very old school but so much fun!

Seven interesting things hey.... umm well Im a dancer. Like ballet, tap, jazz kind of dancer, though here in Tokyo I often get asked if Im here working as an exotic dancer... Hmm I guess when a blonde western girl in heels says she is a dancer some Japanese people just jump to certain conclusions.Eeek. Ok thats one. Wow this will be harder than I thought. Two,I love pasta! Three, painting my nails black always makes me feel stylish (even when Im not). Four, I love taking afternoon nanna naps in the sun. Five, my favorite movie of all time is La vita è bella or in English, Life is Beautiful. If you have not seen it.... your insane. GO AND WATCH IT! Six, read Harry Potter if you know what's good for you. Seven, I love taking sticky pics, they call them purikura here. They are so fun. My best friend and I can spend hours taking them.

Hello world! Tokyo was freezing and rainy today... but luckily I found these amazing vintage YSL heels to brighten up my day! The white 2 and a half inch heels are detailed with white stitching which give the shoes a cute effect. Im still loving that I can wear my warm coats and gloves, but now I really am so excited for spring when I can whip these little babies out!
